Congratulations to the seven incredible FUHSD students named as top 300 scholars in the 78th annual Regeneron Science Talent Search!
FUHSD's honorees are Leah Varghese of Cupertino High School, Reet Mishra of Homestead High School, Vivek Kamarshi of Monta Vista High School and Shannon Heh, Charles Huang, Amol Singh and Stanley Wang of Lynbrook High School.
The top 300 scholars were selected from an applicant pool of nearly 2,000 students and were chosen for their exceptional research skills, commitment to academics, innovative thinking and promise as scientists. This year, research projects covered topics from bioengineering to environmental science to physics. Each scholar and their respective schools will be awarded $2,000.
On Jan. 23, 40 of the 300 scholars will be named Regeneron Science Talent Search finalists. Finalists will travel to Washington, D.C. in March and compete for more than $1.8 million in awards provided by Regeneron. The full list of scholars can be found on the Regeneron Science Talent Search website.
