Bus Pass Program

In the 1980s, due to budget cuts and decreasing enrollment, the District made the difficult decision to close Sunnyvale High School in the northern part of the district. Additionally, the District closed the Transportation Department and discontinued district-wide bussing services. The District and the Board of Trustees made a commitment to provide public transportation passes to those furthest north in the district through the District’s Bus Pass Program.

Students who reside in zip codes 94089, 94085, or 94086 qualify for a free monthly bus pass regardless of income or school site.

The information below provides detailed information on the procedures of the District’s Bus Pass Program.
