Important Considerations for Both Programs
QUALIFIED SIBLINGS (Sibling Privilege)
Families applying for this program for a qualified student may add qualified siblings to the application. A qualified sibling meets ALL of the following requirements:
- Is currently living full time at the address listed on Part 2 of the Application and will continue to live full time with all other siblings listed on application
- Must currently be enrolled Grade 5, 6, 7 or 8
- Must be a sibling of the student listed in Part 1 of the application (brother/sister, step brother/sister, half-brother/sister, legally adopted brother/sister or foster child) and share the same parent/legal guardian listed in Part 2 of the application
- Must meet all Registration and Address Verification requirements upon entering Grade 9.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
- Families may only complete one application to be used for all eligible family members. Families turning in multiple applications may be removed from consideration. If an application is selected in the lottery, all qualified students and siblings listed on the application will be granted a transfer (current and future students).
- All families will be notified via email of the acceptance or rejection of their application.
- School placement due to Special Programs needs, such as Special Education or other Education Options programs supersedes any transfer program
- Students living outside of our district boundaries are not eligible for this program
- Students that qualify for a transfer due to living in a specified attendance boundary area, must continue to live within that attendance area to remain at their transfer school
- Students using a Caregiver Affidavit to attend school in the Fremont Union High School District are not eligible for this program
- Transportation will not be provided for students transferred to Lynbrook High School as part of the intra district transfer process
