Electronic Address Verification

ELECTRONIC ADDRESS VERIFICATION

Beginning in the 2025-26 School year, FUHSD will use a "document free" electronic address verification process for enrollment, saving parents the time and trouble it takes to provide multiple address verification documents. The district has partnered with CivicBell to create a very easy and accurate system to determine a parent/guardians primary address and then map it to see if it is within district boundaries. 

WHY CHANGE?

A very frequent complaint received from parents about enrolling their student is the hassle of gathering 3 different address documents, scanning them and then uploading them into the on-line registration tool.  It also takes a tremendous amount of time and money for staff to review these documents for over 9,500 students.  Address/Residency information is easily accessible and available in today’s digital World, usually only taking seconds to verify someone’s permanent residence is within our District boundaries.

For any student, whose primary address cannot be verified as being within District boundaries or who would prefer uploading all required address documents, the On-line Registration (OLR) system will automatically require three address verification documents to be uploaded, just like prior years.  

There are multiple reasons a person and the address may come back as not matching, such as:

  • A very recent move into our district
  • The address is outside of our district boundaries
  • Incorrect information entered
  • Primary address is different that address provided

INSTRUCTIONS TO COMPLETE FUHSD PRIMARY ADDRESS VERIFICATION

To simplify the enrollment process, this district is providing you with a document-free primary address verification option.  This simple process should take less than a minute.

Step 1:  Reverse cell phone authentication

Simply enter your name (First and Last) and your cell phone number, then hit SEND button.  You will be sent a one-time cell phone authentication code to the cell phone number you entered.

This step verifies that the owner of the cell phone provided is the person submitting the information.  Your cell phone number will only be used for the purpose of authentication and will not be used for any other matter without your explicit consent.

 If you want to bypass the electronic verification process and upload all required address verification documents, you may click on the SKIP VERIFICATION button.  Please note, because the Enrollment Office staff will need to manually verify each address document, your registration will take longer to process and more time will be spent verifying your primary address.

Step 2:  Enter cell phone authentication code

Check your cell phone and enter the authentication code sent to you.  Enter the correct authentication code, then click on SUBMIT. If the proper authentication is entered, you will go to the next step to verify your primary address. 

Step 3:  Primary Address Verification for Enrollment & Registration

Enter your Primary Home Address and click on VERIFY ADDRESS.  The system will complete an online primary address verification to verify the location of your primary address and to check if the address is within the Fremont Union High School Attendance Boundary. 

Once completed, the system will return a 7-digit ENROLLMENT ACCESS CODE.

This access code is required to begin your On-Line Registration (OLR).  Please write down this code or take a picture of it with your phone.  You will be required to enter this code as the first step of completing your registration.

Once you write down or copy the code, click on the BEGIN ON-LINE REGISTRATION to continue with your student’s registration and enrollment for the 2025-26 school year.
