I wanted to share some exciting news with you about the Splash at Berkeley 2023 Spring Program. This program provides an opportunity for high school students to explore their passions and learn something new by taking courses nearly taught by UC Berkeley students. This semester, the program will be hosting its 16th Splash program on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 at Dwinelle Hall. The program is open to 9th-12th graders, and the cost of the program is $35, with an optional $7 fee for pizza served during lunch. To see the classes being offered and to register, please visit this link: https://berkeley.learningu.org/learn/Splash/2023_Spring/studentreg. In addition, I'm excited to share that Homestead alumni will be teaching two classes this year, S1089 and S1090, focused on quantum mechanics. Kiarra and Daniel will be teaching both classes, with S1089 titled "Everything you learned about electrons is a LIE!" and S1090 titled "Deep Quantum Dive." Please note that S1090 will be very fast-paced and math-heavy, with a large focus on the calculus of electrons. If you are looking for a more introductory level class, I recommend checking out S1089. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from talented UC Berkeley students and Homestead alumni. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit the program's FAQ page. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore your passions and learn something new! Sincerely, Mr. Fung Academic Center Starting on Monday 4/3 our Academic Center will be re-opening in the Library to students at Homestead High School.
