Hello Mustangs!  Are you interested in taking our new Intro to Ethnic Studies and Health class next school year?  If you are, please let us know!  You would have to take one semester of Intro to Ethnic Studies and one semester of Health. This class can be guaranteed as a 7th class or you can make it one of your top 6 classes.  Both of these classes are college prep and will count as a "G" in the A-G eligibility. J-Night is coming to Homestead on Wednesday, March 29th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm in the Cafeteria. This event is hosted by the Japanese language classes and Japanese National Honors Society so please come by to grab some Japanese foods, play games, and learn more about Japan from the current Japanese students' presentations!

KREW Annual Spring Showcase 4/1

Hey mustangs! Please come out to KREW's 3rd annual spring showcase, Case Closed! The showcase will be taking place on April 1st, Saturday at 5pm in the Large Gym! We will have various K-pop dance groups around the bay area coming to perform with us. The tickets will be $5 with presales and $7 at the door! Animal Welfare Meeting 4/3

Come out to our eighth animal welfare meeting on Monday, April 3rd at lunch in room C104! We will be learning about adopting pets and easter bunnies! AI Club General Meeting 4/3

Join Homestead's Artificial Intelligence Club on Monday, April 3rd, at Lunch in Room L102 to learn about Computer Vision and Deep Learning. We will be covering modern Computer Vision techniques, applications, and current challenges in the field. We will also be announcing our officer application process for the upcoming school year. Hi Homestead! Are you interested in joining science olympiads or learning what science olympiads is about? Come to our general meeting on April 3rd at lunch to learn more about what we do and a new homestead science olympiads mock invitational, so you can get a feel for how science olympiads is! B.E.E.P Entrepreneurship Fair( April 8)

The Business Entrepreneurship Encouragement Program (BEEP)–an incubator that funds student businesses up to $5,000–will be hosting our very first Entrepreneurship Fair, where we will be showcasing student businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. These businesses will include BEEP-funded teams as well as teams throughout the district. It will be a great opportunity to meet VCs, CEO’s, and other business professionals, as well as support youth entrepreneurship! If you are interested in seeing the progress of new student businesses or even looking for examples to start your own, join us on April 8th from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Lynbrook High School cafeteria for this student showcase! ASB Club Applications

Hi Homestead! The ASB Club Commission will be closing club applications on Friday, April 14th! This means that if you want to start a new club this year, you need to have your club advisor confirmed by that date! On informedK12, this means that step 2 needs to be completed for your club application. After this date, you can still submit club applications but your application will not be reviewed until the beginning of next school year. New Beat Percussion Ensemble

Sunnyvale Teen Advisory Committee Official “Chuck N’ Duck” Dodgeball event, taking place at
the Columbia Neighborhood Center on Saturday, April 8, beginning at 11 a.m.

This is the perfect opportunity to join forces with your friends, clubs, or classmates and compete
against other high school students in a friendly dodgeball tournament. Anyone in grades 9-12 is
welcome to participate and have a good time. Gather your crew and become part of
Sunnyvale's history as potential dodgeball champions!

Students MUST have IDs to get food in cafeteria

Students, remember the cafeteria is requiring the scanning of student ID cards when getting brunch or lunch. You cannot enter the cafeteria without it.  It can be an old ID card, but it must have your barcode on it.  You can even take a photo of your card and use your phone for it to be scanned.  If you don't have your ID, you will have to wait and go to the end of the line.  If you have lost your ID, you can obtain one from the ASB office located in the quad.

SAT, ACT, AP Test Prep Resources for Spring

Homestead High School PTSA works with outside vendors to help our students prepare for college admissions exams. Our vendors have SAT ACT and AP (certain subjects) mock tests planned for Spring. Please see flyer for registration details.

$750 Barbara Emerich Memorial Scholarship for Seniors: Apply by April 7

The Sixth District PTA invites HHS seniors to apply for a $750 scholarship in honor of longtime PTA volunteer Barbara Emerich. The winners will be chosen based on application essays describing their community service or volunteer work. Deadline is April 7. APPLY HERE

Beyond the Blue 4/1, 10am-12pm

Hey Homestead! ASB presents to you Homestead’s Beyond the Blue Week! This week will be dedicated to spreading awareness and appreciating people with disabilities. We have an exciting final event taking place on Saturday, April 1st from 10am-12pm at the football stadium! At this event, the FUHSD’s post-secondary programs will be selling their amazing products, from succulents to dog treats and even custom-made cards!! We would love your support! See you there!

Homestead High School’s 60th anniversary April 7th

Hello everyone! This year is Homestead High School’s 60th anniversary, and we will be celebrating next week!

This is an amazing opportunity to connect with the community, old and new. Come out on Friday, April 7th at 5:30pm to celebrate the past 60 years with the community. There will be guest speakers, a campus tour scavenger hunt, hall of fame induction, refreshments, and more.

Mental Health-Focused Art Contest for Youth and Young Adults!

To Be Honest, a program of Momentum for Health, hosts this art contest and encourages youth and young adults in Santa Clara County to express their emotional and mental health through creative platforms and seek help in times of need. Through the art contest, we hope young adults in our community can find a positive outlet that allows them to explore their feelings and be more open about their current mental health status.

The contest is running now through April 26^th and I would love to see FUHSD students participate by creating either a 2D, 3D, 4D piece or Short Film that reflects the theme “Where I draw my strength from”! All pieces are scored by a panel of 8 community members who are passionate about mental health and art. The Top 3 winners in each category will receive $300, $200 and $100 gift cards to either BLICK Art Materials (2D & 3D prize) or B&H Photo & Video (4D & Short Film prize) to help further their crafts.
