Special Bell Schedule ~ CAASPP Testing: Week of 3/14 ~ Room Assignments Juniors: CLICK HERE to see your room assignment for CAASPP testing beginning on Tuesday, March 14th. Testing begins at 8:30 am. You will need earbuds for this test, so please feel free to bring your own or we will provide you with a pair. Also, bring your chrome book if you have one. If not, we will provide one for you. Due to CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) testing for all Juniors 3/14-3/16, there will be a Special Schedule on these days. 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will have a later start. Students MUST have IDs to get food in cafeteria Students, remember the cafeteria is requiring the scanning of student ID cards when getting brunch or lunch. You cannot enter the cafeteria without it. It can be an old ID card, but it must have your barcode on it. You can even take a photo of your card and use your phone for it to be scanned. If you don't have your ID, you will have to wait and go to the end of the line. If you have lost your ID, you can obtain one from the ASB office located in the quad. American Heart Challenge Throughout the month of March, there will be activities, workshops, presentations, and guest speakers related to the topic of heart health. Bike for Boba! 3/17 Attention Bikers and boba-lovers! We will be giving out free boba to those who come out to the second Bike for Boba event on March 17th at 3:10PM by the bike racks next to the pool. Last year, this event gathered 80 high school students between Homestead and Fremont! The event allows students to advocate for full-time bike lanes on Homestead Road so that students can safely ride to and from school. The event is organized by Bike Sunnyvale and Silicon Valley Bike Coalition. The bike ride will last for approximately an hour, so if this seems like your thing make sure to stop by! The route for the bike ride will be beginner friendly. We will start at Homestead, going up Mary, taking Fremont Ave to Fremont High School, then heading south on Wolfe, and then riding back to Homestead HS on Homestead Rd. Near the end of the ride, there will be free boba for students. Bicyclists -- do not lock or park bikes around baseball field and bleachers Bikers, remember to NOT lock your bikes to the baseball fences and bleachers since baseball season is starting. Bicycles will be removed and relocated if they are interfering with practices and games. Engineer Your Future Design Workshop Series 3/18 & 3/19 Hey Homestead!
