Bicycles will be removed and relocated if they are interfering with practices and games. $750 Barbara Emerich Memorial Scholarship for Seniors: Apply by April 7 The Sixth District PTA invites HHS seniors to apply for a $750 scholarship in honor of longtime PTA volunteer Barbara Emerich. The winners will be chosen based on application essays describing their community service or volunteer work. Deadline is April 7. APPLY HERE Mental Health-Focused Art Contest for Youth and Young Adults! To Be Honest, a program of Momentum for Health, hosts this art contest and encourages youth and young adults in Santa Clara County to express their emotional and mental health through creative platforms and seek help in times of need. Through the art contest, we hope young adults in our community can find a positive outlet that allows them to explore their feelings and be more open about their current mental health status. The contest is running now through April 26th and I would love to see FUHSD students participate by creating either a 2D, 3D, 4D piece or Short Film that reflects the theme “Where I draw my strength from”! All pieces are scored by a panel of 8 community members who are passionate about mental health and art. The Top 3 winners in each category will receive $300, $200 and $100 gift cards to either BLICK Art Materials (2D & 3D prize) or B&H Photo & Video (4D & Short Film prize) to help further their crafts. SAT & ACT Prep Resources for Winter & Spring Homestead High School PTSA works with outside vendors to help our students prepare for college admissions exams. Our vendors have SAT and ACT mock tests scheduled in January. Test prep sessions for March and May SAT test dates are also available. Two live webinars are offered free to the HHS community: 1.
