Homestead Studios Short Film Auditions 2/6-2/13

Hey Homestead! Want polaroid photos and a sweet way to cherish your friends or special someone? Well you're in luck because Homestead's Life in Focus Photography Club is hosting a Valentine's Day photo booth fundraiser Tuesday, February 14th in quad during lunch! Purchase one polaroid for $2 or 3 for $5!

Hey Homestead! Women's Empowerment Ambassadors will be holding their ninth general meeting on Wednesday, February 15th during lunch in C207! We will be discussing women in the media and playing get to know you games, see you there!

Neuroscience Club Meeting 2/16

Hey Homestead Mustangs! Wanna learn more about the brain? Come out and join us for Neuroscience Club’s first meeting of the year in L105 on Thursday 2/16 @ lunch! We are a new club, so we will be introducing our officer team, learning about the insides of the brain, playing a super-fun activity, as well as introducing new officer positions. Key Club and VSA Fundraiser Collab 2/17

Come out to the Key Club fundraiser collaboration event with the Vietnamese Student Association on Friday, February 17th after school in room C203! We will be selling Vietnamese food and donating the proceeds to charity. We will also be making Vietnamese lanterns where you can earn 2 volunteer hours! Make sure to come out to our fundraising event and bring your friends!

Are you looking for help on how to write scholarship application essays? Here's your opportunity to learn tips on writing one amazing essay that can be used repeatedly for all of your scholarship applications, starting as early as 9th grade!

On Wednesday, March 1st @ 5:30pm in the Homestead Cafeteria join PTSA and Jeannie Burlowski, author of the book LAUNCH: How to Get Your Kids Through College Debt-Free and Into Jobs They Love Afterward. See her and hear her in advance, online, at JeannieBurlowski.com. It is suggested (but not required) that students and parents attend this session together. This session will be recorded, but in-person attendance is strongly recommended so you'll be able to ask the speaker your individual questions at the end. Register as soon as possible—space is extremely limited.

Spring Fling is on March 10th!

Calling all freshmen and sophomores! Get ready for a night of fun, music and dancing at our annual semi-formal dance, SPRING FLING! This dance is on March 10th from 6-9pm. You’ll be able to enjoy delicious snacks and boba, dance to the latest hits and socialize with your friends in the cafeteria! Presale tickets are 25 dollars with ASB and 30 dollars without. Tickets include food! Ticket sales begin Feb 13th on the student store. We hope to see you there!!

$750 Barbara Emerich Memorial Scholarship for Seniors: Apply by April 7

The Sixth District PTA invites HHS seniors to apply for a $750 scholarship in honor of longtime PTA volunteer Barbara Emerich. The winners will be chosen based on application essays describing their community service or volunteer work. Deadline is April 7. APPLY HERE

SAT & ACT Prep Resources for Winter & Spring

Homestead High School PTSA works with outside vendors to help our students prepare for college admissions exams. Our vendors have SAT and ACT mock tests scheduled in January. Test prep sessions for March and May SAT test dates are also available. Two live webinars are offered free to the HHS community:
