Guidance || Middle College Informational Meeting 1/20
Dear tenth and eleventh-grade students,
We would like to share with you some information about an educational option that is available to students in 10th and 11th grade for the following academic year. Middle College is a program where students take their high school English, History, and Advisory Electives on the De Anza College campus from FUHSD teachers, while taking college courses through De Anza for the remainder of their schedule.
Our program may be a good fit for students who:
need a different environment to be more successful in high school;
would like to be part of a tight-knit community of learners;
are feeling disconnected from their high school in academics or socially/emotionally;
are interested in being a part-time college student next year; and
are interested in taking high school and college courses on the De Anza Campus instead of on their high school campus.
If this sounds interesting, Middle College may be the program for you!
Please check out the Middle College website and come to a Middle College Student-Only Informational Meeting to learn more about the program, and the application process, and hear from Middle College teachers and students. The meeting will be on Jan. 20th during tutorial in the Library.
