VISIONARY GOAL #1: PERSONALIZED LEARNING
Students are actively engaged with their learning on a personal, social, and intellectual level. Schools provide safe, supportive environments which value and respond to the unique backgrounds, strengths, needs, and interests of each student. Unique programs, flexible structures, and special learning opportunities enable students to experience personal relevance and enthusiasm about their learning now and in the future. All staff provides guidance and assistance to students and families in making good choices for continued education and meaningful work beyond graduation.

TARGET OBJECTIVES FOR 2005-2006:

• Conduct personalized learning survey and develop a plan to improve the connections of students to school, peers, their classrooms, and teachers
• Continue support for AVID program
• Re-evaluate guidance program
• Develop new program improvement strategies for English Learners
  

PROGRESS IN MEETING OBJECTIVES IN 2004-2005:

• Expanded the AVID program to all sites to provide for students who have untapped potential
• Implemented new strategies for student success focusing on the most at-risk and most under-achieving students -- i.e. Algebra, English Learners
