Homestead High School Marching Band prepares for the Tournament of Roses Parade

Homestead High School’s Mighty Mustang Marching Band is gearing up to perform in the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1. In support of this year’s parade theme “Making a Difference,” the Homestead Marching Band will be performing for the children at Shriners Hospital in Pasadena, as a way to give back in a significant and meaningful way.

The Homestead Marching Band will also be delivering donations of coloring books and coloring utensils for the patients at Shriners Hospital, including Love: A Body Positivity Coloring Book, which was recently published by Homestead High School senior Amanda Sun. Love: A Body Positivity Coloring Book is available for purchase on Amazon and can be purchased for donation to the Shriners patients. Additional coloring books and crayon donations can be dropped off in the collection box in the Homestead Main Office through Friday, Dec. 15. Donations after that date can be arranged with Vicki Feltman at

The Homestead Marching band is #72 in the line-up for the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade.
