Update regarding air quality advisory and cancellation of outdoor practices and games through the weekend

The multiple fires burning in Napa and Sonoma continue to negatively impact air quality for the greater Bay Area, with the Santa Clara Valley predicted to remain in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range on the Air Quality Index through Sunday. For this reason, we have made the determination to cancel all sports practices, games and band activities, including the Cupertino Tournament of Bands, for the remainder of the week and through the weekend. All school districts in the Central Coast Section (CCS) are also canceling athletic events for the weekend.

We will continue to monitor air quality conditions and keep you informed as the situation progresses.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the cancellation of these very special events, however the safety of our students and families remains our top priority.
