CHILD CARE Update - December 2009

The Fremont Union High School District values your service and continues to be committed to offering child care options for the children of employees. We are pleased to announce that Bright Horizons Family Solutions will be managing the new Fremont Union High School District Child Development Center located on the Cupertino High School campus. Bright Horizons is a well-established organization specializing in employer-sponsored child care and early education. The new FUHSD Child Development Center will offer infant, toddler, and preschool programs. They will also offer a summer program for school-age children. Over the next few weeks, the child care center will undergo renovations to improve the facility. FUHSD and Bright Horizons want to ensure that the physical space of the center is up to the same high standards as the high quality care that will be provided. The center is scheduled to open in early January 2010.

Child Care Update - November 2009

Fremont Union High School District has selected Bright Horizons to partner with to manage the child care center for children of employees located on the Cupertino High School Campus.

FUHSD and Bright Horizons is committed to providing high quality child care services for infants through pre-school age children. In order to comply with state licensing requirements, and to create a physical space that is conducive to high quality care, the current child care center at Cupertino High School will undergo a few modifications and upgrades.  The construction projects will include the addition of sinks, toddler toilets, a re-organization of the interior partitions to allow for more distinct classrooms for preschoolers, and the addition of an outdoor play structure more appropriate for preschool age children.  We are continuing to meet with Bright Horizons to finalize our plans and create a timeline for the grand re-opening of the child care center.
