EL SPEECH CONTEST 2009
Nearly 350 students from our five high schools participated in our SECOND ANNUAL ENGLISH LEARNER SPEECH CONTEST. Informative, Persuasive, Interpretive and Impromptu speeches were delivered to nearly 100 judges, comprised of administrators and students from across the District as well as members of the community. Forty-seven students who met four criteria to be officially redesignated as fluent English proficient were also invited to be recognized. Congratulations to all participants and finalists!
